How does it work

Fastube Diet is based on the programme devised by Professor Cappello of the Sapienza University in Rome, which has now been successfully adopted by over 40,000 people around the world.

The programme relies on protein-based enteral nutrition, which means that for the entire duration of the treatment, the patient is only fed via a small clear tube that is used to perfuse a protein-balanced formula directly into the stomach. Each cycle consists of 7-10 days of treatment and one break, followed by 2 weeks of assisted realimentation.

Enteral nutrition, which is essentially protein-based, uses storage fats as a source of energy through ketogenesis, which is responsible for both anorectic (appetite suppression) and euphoric (feeling of wellbeing) effects.

Noticeable results are achieved quickly and translate into a dramatic reshaping of the body.

Thanks to the beneficial effect of the proteins on the muscles, those stubborn fat areas are drastically reduced and, due to the increased production of collagen, the firmness of the body is greatly improved.

The product used is a water-soluble powder. Once prepared, the formula is poured into a rigid container from which it then flows into the stomach through a clear and flexible 2mm wide tube. The 2 litres of formula are supplied continuously through a small computerised pump which is very easy to use. Thanks to the effects of ketogenesis, this system allows to burn fat even during sleep.

The insertion of the tube is performed by highly trained medical staff and is completely pain-free.

The pump and the container are carried in a practical rucksack, which means that the supply of the product allows the patient to lead a completely normal lifestyle (study, work, light exercise, etc.). It is mandatory that the patient does not eat any food throughout the duration of the treatment. However, drinks such as water, tea, infusions, barley coffee and coffee (without sugar) should be consumed in adequate quantities.

During the first cycle of protein-based nutrition, the average weight loss in a woman is of 6-8% and of 8-10% in a man (approximately 1% a day). If deemed necessary, more cycles can be undertaken and the loss of fat mass will be of 6-8% of the total body weight.
